Hello, my name is Pierre François Trombert; I am the artist who has been chosen to design the Normandy Liberty Bell Center.

As you know, the Normandy Liberty Bell with technology recreated the 18^th century sound of Liberty, testament to the enduring friendship of America and France.

I wanted to honor its past and present and then explore how to express the sound and meaning of liberty in the future.

The bell has been an instrument to call to gather, to call to celebrate the observance of rites of passages; the rituals of life.

It whispers the hymn and poetry of Liberty, and then resonates its uniting message to human kind.

What is the future of this sound?

It is the cosmos, also the cosmos of the mind, the infinity of the human spirit.

I wanted it to be the symbiotic existence of the earth and the cosmos, a concept that continues to engage humanity.

The composition of the elements, the sun, the solstice, the North Star, earth, water and light orchestrates the virtuosity of the sound of liberty and its future.

With this harmony and technology, I wanted to build a space for understanding and reflection which is what I call the Observatory of liberty.   

It has been an honor and a privilege to work on this project and I hope you enjoy the experience of that space as much as I enjoyed designing it.
